   b) have a close relative (mother, sister or daughter
   who has breast cancer)
   
   
2. Four in five women diagnosed with breast cancer have no known risk factors

Your best defence
Early detection is your best defence. It offers a better chance of successful treatment and recovery.

1. Know the signs of breast cancer.
2. Do regular breast checks through breast self-examination, clinical breast examination and mammography (breast X-ray).
3. If you notice a change in your breasts, see a doctor immediately.
