The Bombay Endoscopy Academy and Centre for Minimally
  Invasive Surgery is one of the premier institutions in India
  which is devoted exclusively to gynaecological endoscopic
  surgery. It was conceptualised in 1994 with the sole purpose of
  providing excellent international quality management of various
  gynaecological problems endoscopically. This is because a
  pressing need was felt to replace open laparotomies by minimally
  invasive surgery which has one day hospital stay, lesser
  postoperative pain, early return to activity and better
  postoperative healing.
